Subtitle: Growing old and they don't like it
Summary: Please Don't Hug Me was written, produced and presented by writer-broadcaster Daniel Ruiz Tizon, a man who spent the nineties convinced he was one half of Tears For Fears. Each week, except for the short period during which he was deservedly sacked from the show, Daniel was joined by old school friend Micky Boyd, an unreliable man who'd finished balding by the mid-nineties. From 2010 to 2012, with the country in the grip of austerity, Please Don't Hug Me charted the spectacular implosion of Daniel's writing career as he moved out of the hotel he was holed up in for the first 18 episodes of the show, and onto a variety of south London post codes, each one of which seemed to take him further away from his dreams. Daniel and Micky were joined by regular contributors, Fat Man on a Couch Stuart Armstrong, Roisin Rae, Brooks Livermore and Fiona Hardingham. They grew old and they didn't like it. You can catch up with Daniel's latest work, Daniel Ruiz Tizon is Available for Resonance FM, which can be downloaded on iTunes, and Micky's podcast for the Hold Fast Network, Mickypedia, which he co-presents.
